Kate Middleton Repeats Red LK Bennett Coat To Watch The Welsh Rugby

Another weekend, another Kate Middleton repeat. The Duchess of Cambridge gave her snug-but-sleek LK Bennett coat a second outing on Saturday when she arrived at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff to watch a nail-biting rugby match between Wales and New Zealand. Prince William is patron of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, which works with players injured during their careers, so the Duke and Duchess were there to show their royal support.

Kate first wore the coat in 2011

Ever the appropriate dresser, Kate chose red for the occasion in support of Wales’ rugby team, the Red Dragons. The elegant wool number comes from LK Bennett’s Autumn Winter 2011 collection and features a high collar, epaulets, and a waist-clinching belt. The 'Ami' coat was last seen in November 2011 when the couple visited UNICEF’s Emergency Supply Centre in Copenhagen [above]. For this appearance, however, the DoC ditched the big buckled belt and teamed the look with a pair of winter-perfect black boots as well as a red Gucci clutch from the brand’s 1921 Collection (thanks to What Kate Wore for the heads up).

So another fine example of mixing high-street classics with a touch of designer glitz courtesy of Duchess. Nice work, Middy.
