Thank goodness that this year's X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing don't clash, we like that we can actually watch both on Saturday night without feeling like we're missing out on something.

This year we bet X Factor bosses are delighted that Strictly bosses decided to air the celebrity dancing competition early, because it's frequently winning the ratings battle. So there's no telling what would happen the two entertaintainment giants went head-to-head.

This Saturday's Strictly's audience numbers were over a million more than X Factor's. 9.9 million people tuned into watch the likes of Kimberley Walsh, Louis Smith, Denise Van Outen and Sid Owen compete on the dancefloor, with a peak audience of 11.3 million watching.

Over on ITV an average 8.8 million people watched X Factor hopefuls including Rylan Clark, Ella Henderson and MK1 sing - the X Factor's 130-minute long show managed a peak of 10.2 million viewers.

There's more bad news for The X Factor, as Saturday nights show was 400,000 down from last week and 1.3 million down from the same point last year.

Strictly's victory over The X Factor marks the biggest margin in Strictly's favour in six years, reports the Mailonline.

This year, are you a bigger fan of Strictly or is The X Factor still your favourite as Brucie would say?
